Literacha x Good Day Cork present a brand new zine for Spring 2025

Good Day Cork welcomes Em & Louis from Literacha as Guest Editors for 2025!
🎤 Our guest editors have curated a zine with the theme of VOICE: loud voices, soft voices, suppressed voices, rough voices, melodic voices, voices in the wind, voices of change, using your voice for good…. 💪 As part of Good Day Cork’s ethos, they sought for voices that typically go unheard in our society. Namely members of ethnic or cultural minority groups, people living with visible or invisible disabilities, the LGBTQ+ community, people of colour and anyone who experiences systemic inequality or discrimination.
Em and Louis write tender letters to the readers of this issue.
Em says, “We’re celebrating female voices, queer voices, neurodivergent voices.”
Louis says, “I hope these stories resonate with anyone who feels unheard during these trying times.”

About Team Literacha
Em Egan Reeve (they/he) is a transmasc poet and writer originally from West Cork. They recently graduated with an MA in creative writing from UCC. Em has been published in Good Day Cork.
Louis Egan McCutcheon is a young queer poet and writer from Bandon living in Cork City. He also regularly reads at other open mics like The Underground Loft and Ó Bhéal. Louis’ work explores the boundaries of language, youth and the inner child, and his identity as a queer man. He has been published in UCC Quarryman and Chaos and Flowers and is working on his debut full length poetry collection.
⚡️ Together they founded Cork’s newest queer open mic LITREACHA in June 2024. A space for poets, prose, music, and other artistic expression in Cork City.
